We solicit feedback from our participants every year, concerning our volunteers. Here’s what they had to say about last year’s volunteers!

Awesome volunteers!

I really appreciated that the roads are closed for this event. I know it took a small army of dedicated volunteers to man the closures. I am very grateful for their time. And thanks for all the cheers along the way.

They are all friendly, patient and encouraging. Your crew is honestly the best in the business, with maybe the Ironman crew close to you. You know all the answers, you make us feel welcome and not rushed. It’s just an awesome vibe!

The volunteers are amazing! Having them there, cheering us on, providing help, food whatever we need is priceless. They are truly a blessing.

They are cheerful, knowledgeable, encouraging, and numerous (this is wonderful!!), they are everywhere, at every intersection, at every turn, giving a helping hand into and out of the water, so great!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Volunteers efforts are what makes this event above the rest.

My first triathlon was in 2015 and in Cornwall. It was recommended by a friend who said, “You’ll see. It’s super well organized and the volunteers make everything so simple and enjoyable”. She was right. I was back in 2023 and the same still applied. Thank you so much.

Volunteers are the essence of the triathlon. Thank you. It is always nice to be greeted with a smile and encouragement. They bring a warm, fuzzy feeling to add to the exertion of doing the race and propel you to go faster and do your best. Thank you. Than you.

My absolute favourite race of the year. The support and cheering from the volunteers is incredible. My 2nd favourite race is the Cornwall Marathon, again great volunteers. So, there must be something in the water. Huge thanks to all the volunteers.

Appreciate having volunteers who are well versed in all aspect of this triathlon. They were a great help, since this was my first participation

The volunteers at the Cornwall Triathlon were incredibly wonderful. Having them there literally picking you up at moments made you feel like they were behind you every step. I wish people could be more like that to others when it’s not a race day.

THEY ARE ALWAYS ENTHUSIATIC AND CHEERFUL. IT MAKES ME FEEL GOOD ABOUT CORNWALL BECAUSE THEY ARE SO NICE TO THE PARTICIANTS. THE BIG CROWD IS HANDLED VERY EFFICIENTLY AT THE POST RACE MEAL.

As always, I am amazed by how numerous and enthusiastic your volunteers are. The water stations were all well manned and the after-race meal was handled with efficiency. They deserve a big round of applause.

The volunteers were just great; it was obvious that we were at an event characterized by genuine community spirit that people took a lot of pride in. The salads were excellent as well (nutritious and tasty!). We really enjoyed this event. Thanks! Following the big day, we also enjoyed Lamoureux park, the Museum and some swimming and paddling on the river as well as some cycling around town.

Cornwall Triathlon volunteers are AMAZING. They are a HUGE part of making this my favourite sporting event.

The support and help from the volunteers was fantastic!! Many, many thanks!!

They were amazing!! Everything from picking up race kits to info for setting up transition, wetsuit strippers, hands helping get out of the water, feed stations, food afterwards!! Everyone made it a very special day!! I will definitely encourage my friends to join me next year!!
